The free HubSpot CRM has a user-friendly interface which made it accessible for their staff who had varying levels of technical expertise.

The features of the free CRM, which included contact management, deal tracking, and task automation was particularly useful to keep track of client interactions, sales opportunities, and automating routine tasks. The platform also provided insights into customer interactions, aiding in a more personalized approach to their services.
The HubSpot free CRM allowed them to explore the platform and its capabilities before scaling up to more advanced features as their business grew.

The free HubSpot CRM was an excellent starting point to optimize their workflows and enhance customer relationships.
We introduced them to Edapp, a micro course creator that runs on smartphones and gave them the ability to simply click the ‘AI Create’ button to generate an entire lesson.
They were able to skip the brainstorm and research stage, and get to the words, design, and interactive elements they needed as a basis for their courses.

I recommended an event management software called “Quicket” which has payment facilities that will pay out event funds, less their commission and any fees accumulated, within 3 working days after the event ends.
The client did not need their own payment gateway and got a lot of features (see https://www.quicket.co.za/features) they were not expecting.
They have also run a few similar online events since I introduced them to Quicket.
I selected my personal favourite project management software, namely ClickUp.
We were able to fast-track their marketing campaigns and content creation by generating campaign ideas, content briefs, blogs, case studies, emails and more through the collaborative environment built within ClickUp.
This environment included unlimited tasks, unlimited users, collaborative documents, whiteboards, real-time chats, kanban boards and calendar integration.

My client was very surprised when I recommended that he take a good look at what the new Gmail interface offers.
The new Gmail UI now has a dashboard with buttons that allowed him to start a Chat, jump into a video call with Meet, or collaborate in a Doc, all from within the Gmail screen.
Obviously he could still write emails and messages and receive reminders about what needed attention.

After writing an app specifically for my client, I decided to create a generic app as an example of what was possible.

Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level guru now exceeds R 250 000.00 plus benefits (and good luck finding one available). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you’re stuck paying for time you aren’t able to utilize.
With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you’re only paying your guru when you have work available.
Our experience is that the majority of companies need assistance for a period of about 4 months.
After this period, the changes made are sufficient to warrant a catch-up period of learning the updated systems.
You might be surprised to hear this, but we are actually a consultancy of one. This means you’ll work directly with me.
However, power-up requests such as coding or custom systems are provided by partners.
I have worked in the technology space since 1982 and started my own business in 1988. Staying up to date with technology is what I love to do.
Have a look at my CV.
I would love to be in the situation of having more work than I can handle, but the reality of what I do is that once I have given a client what they request, they usually need (and often demand) time to absorb the changes we have implemented.
This leads to gaps in my calendar while I wait for clients to do and absorb the training I have created and/or recommended.
If, at any stage I become aware of reaching my capacity, then I will inform existing clients and delay the take-on of new clients.
You’re able to add as many requests to your queue as you’d like, and they will be delivered one by one.
What usually occurs, when you identify a need, is that there is a list of items/requests that are required to meet that need. You can choose which of these items you wish to acquire, if further acquisition is necessary.
This is solved by creating a project task list (including start and end dates and times), shared and discussed with you, and then meeting the items one at a time.
The software being used means the times to set up and integrate items is surprisingly quick, however training can take a while if the participants are inexperienced.
On average, most requests are completed in just two days or less.
More complex requests will be identified to you and may cost extra and/or take longer.
The core group of software (I have not listed the specialist tools) that I use, based on many years of experience, is –
There is a lot of flexibility for submitting your requests. Some common ways clients submit requests are directly via chats on Google or ClickUp, sharing Google docs or wireframes, or even recording a brief Loom video (for those who prefer not to write their requests out). Basically, anything is fair game, as long as it reaches me.
No worries! We will chat and agree on either –
Absolutely! I do not create custom software. I use existing online (SaaS) solutions and integrate them to each other in order to streamline your workflow.
That’s fine. When finished, let everyone know about us and then return when you have additional needs.
The only risk that you face is one project payment.
If you decide to cancel your request before any work has been done, then you will receive a refund, but if we have started working already then you will not receive a refund for what you have already paid.
